Would y'all believe us if we said the story of Lawless Whisky Soda began in Palm Springs?

The tale goes like this: four good ol' friends were soaking up the poolside sun in the heart of Palm Desert. Faced with a "texas mickey" of whisky to go through in only a short weekend away from the Great White North, the four began mixing drinks.

Now, when you hear "whisky," you might envision sugary, headache-inducing mixes—whisky colas, lemonades packed with sugar, or overly sweet whisky and ginger-ale concoctions. But like true cowboys, our four friends are practical; they weren't keen on unnecessary add-ins. With that said, they were also tired of bland spirit sodas and seltzers that lacked punch.

They wanted a smooth yet flavorful drink that wouldn't knock them off their horse with one sip. And out of that, Lawless Whisky Soda was born.
